In Low Income Communities Breast Cancer Screenings Declined During Pandemic

From July 2019 to July 2020, breast cancer screenings declined by 8% within community clinics that serve low-income communities. This percentage was a reversal of the 18% improvement in breast cancer screenings researchers found between 2018 and 2019. To calculate this percentage, lead study author Stacey Fedewa, PhD, MPH, scientific director at the American Cancer Society (ACS), relied on secondary data from 32 community health centers that participated in the ACS’s CHANGE grant program, a program designed to increase breast cancer screening rates and follow-up care....

In The Boonies An Oasis Of Success

As Webmania ended, most of the trendy Net incubators crashed back to Earth. But far from Silicon Valley the concept lives on, helping a new generation of Old Economy companies get up and running. In The Heat Of Battle

From Khafji to Washington, the abrupt outbreak of ground combat last week could be seen as an early test of the allied campaign to liberate Kuwait and destroy Saddam Hussein’s military machine. To a man-from Gen. Stormin’ Norman Schwarzkopf down to the lowliest platoon commander–U.S. officers professed grim satisfaction with the results of the week’s fighting: allied losses were light, and a capable enemy was routed. Schwarzkopf said the Iraqis’ surprise attacks were no more meaningful than “a mosquito to an elephant....

Inateck Btsp 10 Plus Review

This Inateck speaker has one of those designs you’ll either love or hate. I quite like the hexagonal, almost industrial-looking pattern that forms the speaker mesh and wraps around the sides. The flash of red showing below this grille is also pretty cool. But for some people the BTSP-10 Plus won’t be the sleek, minimalistic Bluetooth speaker they were looking for. Also see: Best portable speakers and budget Bluetooth speakers 2015....

On Wednesday, things officially iced over for the Huskers, as they suffered their ugliest loss of the season, a home loss to Incarnate Word, a program in just its second season in Division I, on a last-second shot. There really isn’t an excuse for Nebraska to lose to Incarnate Word at home. Terran Petteway and Shavon Shields are two of the best players in the Big Ten, but Nebraska’s inabillity to get consistent production from players not named Shields or Petteway is a major problem....
