Ross Taylor has now become the player with the most number of catches for New Zealand. Not only this, the veteran has now moved to the fifth position in the list of the players with the most number of catches in international cricket.

While batting first for his team, Taylor scored 93 runs with the help of nine fours in the third one-day international match. Taylor may have missed the century, but during the Indian innings, he made a record which no other New Zealand player could do in the history of cricket.

In the 9th over of the Indian innings, the men in blue got the first blow in the way of Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan scored 28 runs before getting caught-out at the slips by Ross Taylor off Trent Boult. With this catch, the Blackcaps top-order batsman, Taylor, created history as he became the player with the most number of catches for New Zealand in ODI cricket. Taylor broke the record of former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming.
