In a trailer for the mod, Mario fans can see just how Kaze Emanuar has recreated so many of Super Mario Odyssey’s worlds in Super Mario 64. The level of detail is incredible. There’s Sand Kingdom, Wooded Kingdom, Cap Kingdom, Cascade Kingdom, and more. Altogether, there are 80 Moons for players to collect.

What’s perhaps most impressive is that the mod recreates many of Mario’s abilities from Super Mario Odyssey. That includes Mario being able to take over enemies with a hat toss, followed by being able to use those enemies’ abilities. It looks completely like a Super Mario Odyssey de-make with Super Mario 64 graphics.

Super Mario 64 Odyssey is just the latest of many mod releases from Kaze Emanuar. There are at least 100 different mod hacks that Kaze has done for Super Mario 64. Other mods include Super Mario 64 Online, which allows for up to 24 players playing Super Mario 64 at the same time, and other de-makes like Super Mario 64 Land, Super Mario Sunshine 64, so on. Super Mario 64 Odyssey is definitely impressive among the list, though.

Super Mario 64 Odyssey is available now as a free download.
